Many people would say that one of the most exciting things about being on social media networks is that it is a 24/7 constant channel for global communication. It is a constant conversation that has no certain time restraints.
If you are a business owner who is looking to get your company’s message out in the media-sphere, however, sometimes posting at a certain point in the day is definitely better than another. Here is what Blair Stover found out when it comes to when to post for maximum effect on your social media networks:
There are studies that have shown specific data where posting at certain points in the day actually did more for a business consistently than it did for other points in the day. Not surprisingly, the better times of days are usually during the weekday afternoons – which is a time when most workers are slowly counting down hours until their day will soon end.
For people using Twitter, the perfect time for clicks was found to be between 1 to 3 p.m. mainly Monday on through to Thursday. The absolute worst times was seen to be after 8 p.m. and again after 3 p.m. mainly on Fridays. This wasn’t that much of a shock to the experts. No matter to who we are talking to, Friday afternoons will generally be light on the clicks from social media accounts.
Facebook has a similar story as well. Its optimum time for clicking links was usually between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. If you really wanted to get the message out, experts say that 3 p.m. on a Wednesday is the absolute best time for you to post your links on Facebook.
